Modifying the playlist:
-In the plugin configuration from within Winamp, make sure to set a "root folder". The DS
will only be able to see files inside here (sharing your whole hard drive automatically
would be bad...)
-Also check the file extensions SylphAMP will look for. This is hack because Winamp doesn't
appear to have a "scan folder" command in its API
-When you connect, the top screen should give a list of folders you can choose. Hold down
left shoulder button then use Up/Down/A to move around the folder tree.
-Once you've found a folder you want to play, press START (still holding down L-shoulder).
SylphAMP should clear your current playlist, then add all the media files inside the selected
folder to the playlist. It does recurse.
I've tested it with a playlist of ~3000 files; it's kind of slow to download the whole playlist
to the DS, but it does work.
I am using NDS-TT on my DS lite. I load the application but when I sylph application on my NDS I get the following message:-
Waiting for ARM7 to init...
ARM Init Confirmed.
Connecting via WFC data
Could not connect!
My router has WEP encryption. Even disabling that did not allow the sylphamp to connect. I have already forwarded port 9883 to my computer running winamp which has the required .dll file installed and winamp running.
Does ist work with the DS Lite ??
or how can i make it work ?

but it crashes every time after 2 seconds.
i have winamp 5.531, the source audio is in the wanted format, and i use a ds lite.
it connects just fine, shows me the title of the song, and when i push play, it will play for 2 seconds, and then winamp will crash (the 2 seconds that were played will loop over and over again on the ds).
the error-message was something like "pure virtual call".
anyway, maybe a nice thing would be to make the ip-configuration remember the last ip you put in.
Is there any way to make it work under Ubuntu?
Please add the posibility to output both to the ds and trough the speakers(computer)

Does the computer running the winamp need to be connected to a router?
I have one computer connected to a router.
I have a second one that revices internet though a cable from the router.
Can i run winamp on the 2nd computer and still be able to get the music?
Or do i HAVE to run winamp on a computer with a router?

Perhaps you could add the ability to use either the L or the R button to modify the playlist. I only ask because unfortunately, the L-button is broken on my DS, and so I can listen to music, but alas can not modify the playlist!

Use the plugin from .02 and use the most recent of the .nds file.

A great improvement would be that you can switch tracks with the L and R buttons.
Cause when im listening to music i have my DS screen closed.

Then try to load it with moonshell
Or patch it with the moomshell patch
Sometimes this works.
But it loads directly on my SuperCard Lite MicroSD.
The first time I used the plugin it crashed.
But when I set the root folder and a passtrough plugin it didnt crash.
This plugin and program, are fantastic. Once I had my WiFi connection set up, it was mere moments and I was streaming music to my DS. A few things I would like to see in the future are:
*the ability to turn shuffle on and off
*the ability to skip over 5-10 tracks instead of 1 at a time
*the ability to preset the IP address (rather than searching for it each time)
*a way to set up the DS wifi without getting a DS wifi game

I had the same problem with the plugin. It worked the first time and after that Winamp would crash with the plugin installed. After having it work the first time I was disappointed to see this, hopefully theres a fix for this.
This app is so great ! My nds is connected to my audio amplifier so i can connect my laptop to my amplifier via wifi, it's very cool! The sound is quite good but is it possible to increase the quality of the streamed sound ? With the nds speakers it's sufficient but with my amplifier plugged to the headphone output the sound isn't as nice as 128kb/s mp3 directly played from my laptop.

I LOVE THIS APP THANK YOU!! If this included the functions of DSAmp it would truly be a product worthy of retail. I set my main music directory (68 gigs, 1,300 folders) to this and it did work, but only about half of the folders showed up on the ds (the rest came up as blank slots). If I opened one of the folders towards the end of the list then went back, more of the folders came up, but still not all of them. I will totally donate $50 if an upcoming release has the functionality of DSAmp with the awesome playlist management of Sylph! Again, Great job!
Wait, what's all this talk about a supercard? Do you need one of those to use the plugin or what? I had the same problem with Winamp crashing when the plugin is in the folder. Please help.
Hi, I love this APP!!! but one cool feature I imagine would be VERY EASY to add... and I hope you do add... is instead of using just IP address... allow keyboard access to type in a domain name because some of us are stuck with dynamic ip addresses and there are free services such as dns2go that will constantly tie your dynamic ip with a static name ex. blahblah.dns2go.com THANKS.

i have the same problem as snake eyes and a number of others. winamp will will not open when the Out_SylphAmp.dll plugin is in the winamp plugin folder. whats even stranger is that it worked fine the first time i tryed it!!! since then its refused to start though :(

got my supercard yesterday, trying a few apps. this one is pretty incredible. its a wireless ipod that can play my whole collection.. nice!
I retract my previous comment for it works now.
N.B. The song had to be playing first in winamp before turing the DS on and connecting. Then it worked fine under WEP.
I'm guessing this doesn't support WEP as my DS is pretty anal about not connecting to our router with homebrew because the WEP key hasn't been taken into account.
